buried treasures

Hello friends, hope you all had a nice weekend! As I mentioned on Friday, I was out of town visiting my parents, and it seemed to be that I picked the right weekend for a visit as there were a ton of great garage sales! I found a fantastic upholstered chair for ten dollars along with these great finds. I couldn't resist picking up this book for a quarter, I love the title and the illustrations are so charming. And this vintage Westclox Moonbeam Alarm Clock was only a dollar! It needs some minor repairs, but I'm sure I can get it back to tip top shape in no time. I almost walked by this lovely platter, but am so glad I didn't. It is a design by Clarice Cliff, or so the back stamp says. I still have to do a bit more research on it, but I love figuring out these kinds of mysteries!

If you're like me and just can't get enough of thrifty finds, here are a couple etsy favourites to tide you over until the next garage sale! These Blue Heaven Fire King ramekins are adorable. And they're from one of our favourites, White Elephant Vintage. I've been seeing a lot of melamine lately and these Russel Wright Turquoise Teacups are certainly on my wish list. Love the colour, love the style. Head over to wundercabinet for more great melamine pieces!
Happy Monday Everyone!

Thanks so much for finding those ramekins for me! I LOVE this pattern and have been trying to collect it as I find it around at local thrift stores. My mixing bowls won't be lonely any more!
