tone on tone

Do you ever have one of those moments when you look around and all you can see is how much of a certain colour there is around you? Today, that colour is turquoise. I love turquoise but I wasn't aware of just how much of it I had. Vintage mugs and plates, prints and other paper goods (including, *ahem* our "hello" envelope); it was everywhere! It's certainly one of my favourite colours. Then again, I have a lot of favourite colours. What's yours? Or do you have a hard time answering that question, like I do?

I found something else turquoise that I would like to add to my collection. This Drumstick Flower Notebook from jengsshop is simple and lovely. The fact that it's also a notebook isn't lost on me. I think I may have a bit of a paper goods problem...and I think that isn't really surprising, either! Anyway, she has a lot of cute prints and colours in her shop so take a look if you haven't already!

It's obvious I'm (and Kath, too) drawn to this colour. I suppose that's why we used the quote that we did at the bottom of our blog. I'm not going to tell you what it is in case you haven't seen it. You'll have to scroll down for that!

Hope your week is off to a good start!

Oh, it's very tempting! If it weren't for the fact that I'm running low on room to store it all, I'd buy more.

I've often thought the perfect turquoise color is the one used on the Tiffany & Co. boxes. With the white ribbon. Makes my heart flutter.

    Lovely photo Julie.

Firstly: that quote is brilliant!! :D So apropos. ;)

I'm the same way you are: I have so many favorite colors I can't narrow it down to just one (or even two...). They tend to change places in hierarchy depending on the time of year, my mood, the amount of sunlight... I'm really quite fickle with color!!

Hope you are having a lovely week thus far!

Amy: I'd love to have a Tiffany & Co. box one day. We don't have one here so I'd have to go on a trip!

Casey: we love that quote. We happened upon it after we chose our colours and thought it was meant to be! And I agree, favourite colours vary depending on a lot of factors for me, too.

Julie- yes sometimes I think we tune into certain colors and pull them out, visually from everything else. Your turquoise items are so invigorating and calming at the same time.
I have certain favorite colors at different times. It changes. I think right now, it's kinds of whites.

Heather: I think that's part of the appeal of turquoise for me. It's so saturated and vibrant, but it's also soothing. Whites are something I love too. Right now, it's cool whites. (Because of winter, perhaps?)

Blaze: Thank you, so much! It's always nice to hear that people are enjoying our blog. And thanks for commenting! It's also nice when it's someone new :)
